The name of the house "UBUHLE BEMVELO" Beauty of Nature greets you as you arrive. The rustic stone facade is continued on the inside of the house with face-brick walls.
As you step throught he entrance the lounge area is directly in front with the sliding door leading to the pool opposite. To the right is the kitchen with the dining nook right next to you. The fully equipped kitchen has a stove, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and a full fridge. This area and the kitchen is serviced by a central air conditioner.
There is a entertainment centre that is wheeled into the lounge, which has DSTV smart view (TV1, 2, 3, etv, Supersport 1, CNNbusiness News and a few more chanels) and a DVD player with a few DVD titles.
There are two bedrooms downstairs, Bedroom 1 on the right has twin beds, with reading lamps an air conditioner and an en-suite bathroom.
At the end of the passage between the bedrooms is a additional guest toilet.
As you enter the passage, on your immediate left is the strongroom in which the TV etc are normally housed when the house is unoccupied. Next to the strong room are the stairs to the first floor and the entrance to the
double room downstairs which also has an en-suite bathroom and an air conditioner.
All the bathrooms consist of a basin, shower heated by an outside gas geyser and a toilet attached to the septic tank / french drain system.
At the head of the stairs on the first floor you will find the exit onto the balcony on the right and a passage to the bedrooms on the left.
Once in the passage, you will see bedroom 3 on your right. Bedroom 3 has twin beds, reading lamps built-in-cupboards and a air conditioner. Both upstairs bedrooms are serviced by one bathroom at the end of the
passage. As with the other bathrooms, there is a basin, shower and toilet. Bedroom 4 is called the dormitory and has sleeping space for up to 5 people. This dormitory can house a family or the kids. It has built-in cupboards with a dressing table and a airconditioner and fans.
The veranda has a dining table, fixed braai/barbeque and ends in a cantilever which runs half-way around the house.
For the active, the table can be moved and the table-tennis table can be set up. The veranda also has drop-down shade netting over all the large openings. the shade netting keeps the veranda cool, brakes the wind in winter, prevents the table tennis balls from running over the edge and slows down the influx of insects at night when the lights are on. The fan cools you down and deters the mosquito's from landing and a insect zapper keeps the numbers of insects that do enter around the netting down. There is also a dart board and a clothes drying rack on the verandah.
The cantilever is ideal for watching the animals roam past or for stargazing at night.
Outside there is a dip pool attached to the house for your private use. The pool is only over a meter deep, with plenty of seating space and is covered with a pool net. Over the pool is a shade net so you can cool down even in the hottest part of the day.
A outside braai area where the small braai in the house can be moved to, or it can be set up next to the pool under the shade cloth. In the braai area is a concrete hollow for making a small open fire.
All around is natural bush where the housing is designed to impact as little as possible on nature.
